Graduated in Graphic Design Communication, Nuno Alecrim have been exploring the plastic arts with the knowledge and techniques that his acquired over the years. Alecrim work combine symbols, textures and patterns within experimental compositions. When possible his work studies aim to involve the structure/building so the work merge with the architecture of the place. His work is mostly monochromatic, marked by his influence and roots in graphic design and in the connection to the primitive and the elementary.

“Fragments of a graphic mind”

Pieces of what was.
A display of forgotten meanings.
Thoughts that struggle to be awake in the emergence of something else.
New shattered beings dance.
They expand into a new paradigm.
The graphic mind experiences itself. Like remnants of a memory.
In fragments.

The series of works presented in this online exhibition is the gathering of material or imaginary fragments, shapes collected in daily life, a graphic sign, a simple texture or images cut from an old book lost in a flea market. “Fragments of a graphic mind” takes the observer on a journey without borders, in a single language, the graphic language.
