tribute to the health care workers

We share an article on tributes made by several artists, such as Vhils, Bansky among others, to health care workers in the different countries affected by the COVID19 pandemic.

"As in all the most important moments in history, art stiffens its role as a measure of the times. In Porto, it was time for Vhils, or Alexandre Farto, to make his mark. The faces of health professionals who have been fighting the pandemic of the new coronavirus are currently being sculpted on one of the outer walls of Hospital São João, as seen in the photo shared on social networks by the doctor, socialist MEP and councilor of the Porto municipality, Manuel Pizarro. The opening of the work is already next Friday, June 19.

But all over the world there are expressions of support for those on this front line, as it is so often called. Health care professionals also deserved the attention of Banksy, who donated a painting of a superheroine nurse to the British National Health System (NHS).

In addition to this, many streets were decorated with paintings and graffiti that honor the sector. In New York, for example, Lewis Miller is turning trash bins into large flowerpots as a way of saying thank you"
