THE INEVITABLE HOURGLASS, is Regg Salgado's interpretation of the work Viriatus, by Pedro da Fonseca Guedes (MC.PIN.1121 - 1923).
“For my third and final mural of the 2 de Maio project, I thought about the way this Lisbon neighborhood has evolved socially. The work and struggles of the past gave rise to a new generation of children who surrounded us every day.
They play in the street, study and dance at “Casa para Todos”. The beautiful wear of the old shoe represents the effort, the hope and the inevitable passage of time of the past generations. The white sneakers lying on the floor perhaps represents the search of some, to leave this incubator in search of ambitions that are now possible. Tiago Salgado - Regg”.
